Welcome to our new series, ”BAHASA INDONESIA IN CONTEXT.”
Language can never be truly understood outside of the contexts in which it is used. Like all languages, Indonesian words and phrases used in one situation can take on entirely different meanings when used in another situation.
Over the next several weeks, we will present Indonesian vocabulary commonly found in different situations. In each video, we will demonstrate how INDONESIAN PHRASES are used in one particular setting and provide definitions of those phrases when used in that specific setting.
Our goal is to help you develop the ability to use your Bahasa Indonesia in the various contexts of your daily life.
IN THIS VIDEO, WE LOOK AT LANGUAGE FREQUENTLY ENCOUNTERED IN THE WORKPLACE.
We join a busy office and follow the activities of the staff throughout a typical day.
In the morning, we watch as administrative employees type on laptops, browse the internet, print out documents, and contact clients by telephone. In the afternoon, we see staff-member discussing their work over lunch and a group of colleagues in the heat of a business meeting.
This short video will introduce you to the following Indonesian vocabulary
We hope these new words and phrases will prove helpful to you as you develop your Bahasa Indonesia communication skills.
Selamat Belajar!!
